Val Amberg joined CDS in 1981. She graduated from Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN with an Associate of Arts degree from the Administrative Secretary Program. In 1995, Val transitioned to a Third Party Administrator and was admitted as Managing Partner of the Benefit Plan Administration division in 2002. She retired from the partnership in 2019, and continues to remain a trusted advisor to our clients. We are excited to have her expertise and knowledge with our firm in the years to come. Val received her Certified Healthcare Reform Specialist (CHRS) certification in 2013. Her focus areas are on the administration of Retirement Plans, Flex Plans, Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs), Qualified Small Employer Health Reimbursement Arrangements (QSEHRAs), ACA Reporting, and HR consulting.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS AND INVOLVEMENT

Val is the Vice-President of the Willmar Area Community Foundation Women's Fund Steering Committee and a member of the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce. She also volunteers with her local church.
